Baby Elephant Colored Pencil Drawing

Here’s the baby elephant I drew for my daughter for her 15th birthday. It has been a crazy week, so this is the first chance I’ve had to get it on my blog! It was a lot of fun to do. It is an 8×8 square. 🙂 I would kind of like to try doing it in watercolor pencils as well.

Library Window with a View

I decided to take some watercolor pencils to the library with a squirt bottle and a watercolor pad today. I didn’t have much time, so I opted not to sketch people. Instead I sketched the very far off view from an upstairs window of the library leaving out the cell phone towers, roofs, etc.

This is Mt. Lassen and some of the trees in front of it. It was mostly a clear day with a few clouds. This was fun, because of the various fall colors of the trees. My watercolor pencils are in a set of only 12 colors that I bought today to have with me all the time.
