Portrait in Acrylics – Stage 1

Hello Friends!

Since I painted a portrait of my daughter last week, I didn’t get to Lesson #13 for Let’sFaceIt#2020.

Saturday, I drew it onto an 11″x14″ canvas. Sunday, I painted the underpainting using Carbon Black for the very darkest areas and a mixture of Pyrrole Red and Carbon Black to make a brownish color for the rest of the dark areas.

The rest of it will be painted with much lighter colors, so that’s why the instructor, Amy Beeman, had us leave the rest of the canvas white before painting it.

This one has been fun so far. I am looking forward to finishing it this week so I can start on this week’s new assignment which is a mini lesson.that shouldn’t take very long.

Have a wonderful day and give someone you love a big hug. 😀
