Olive Ridley Sea Turtle

Here is my newest sea turtle, the Olive Ridley. It looks similar to the Loggerhead, but the colors are strikingly different. It will be a pretty green color.

So this is my rough drawing for my next painting! I don’t know when I’ll start on it yet, but hopefully soon.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone! Give someone you love a big hug! ๐Ÿ™‚Olive Ridley Sea Turtle

Sea Turtle Videos!!

Here is some information about the state of sea turtles, conservation, and the device called a TEDs or turtle excluder devices that help prevent turtle bycatch, turtles that get caught in fishing nets. When this happens, the turtles get tangled up in them and will drown if they are not released. The TED helps save sea turtles, and I am glad someone came up with this great idea!

Have a wonderful day, and give someone you love a big hug!! ๐Ÿ™‚

Australian Flatback Sea Turtle

This is my final preliminary sketch for my next painting. It is on 18×24″ paper, but the painting will be 20×26. I designed the scales on him which means it may not be exactly like a real one would look. I also didn’t take time to shade in the shell. Next I need to get it transferred to my watercolor paper and begin my next painting in my sea turtle series.

Have a great day, and give someone you love a big hug! ๐Ÿ™‚
