Slug & Snail Surprise!

Hello Friends!

Yesterday I used Derwent Inktense Pencils to draw this scene on Bristol paper. What I like about these pencils is that the rich color is activated with water and a paintbrush. I just “paint” the drawing which is pretty cool.

So my daughter’s pet snails inspired me to draw a snail and a couple of slugs closing in on this fancy frog. He is surprised, because if they make it to the pond, I think it will be dinnertime for him! Maybe these gastropods are being too trusting of this fancy frog. What do you think?

I think I still need work on creating better backgrounds for my characters, but I still had a lot of fun creating this one!
