Bookworm Albert

Hello Friends!
A couple of days ago I sketched this intellectual character for the second painting in my “Bookworm” series.
I used mostly watercolor in this one. Then I used some white gesso to “draw” the sun and the flowers since the purple shades in the background would have made a dull looking sun. After that I used red and green acrylics for the flowers and yellow acrylics for the sun. I purposely made the library a little dull in color in the background. I also added strips of a couple of different washi tapes behind and below Albert and threw on a couple of 3-D butterfly stickers.
Lastly, I wrote in a few titles on the books he checked out: “Advanced Calculus”, “War and Peace”, “The Mensa Handbook”, and “Sudoku”. His other books are turned around, though. He seems to be a pretty smart fella ( or wants to be), ha ha!
Anyway, this was a fun one. I loved thinking of how to draw him myself. I love creating quirky looking characters.
Have a wonderful day! 😀
