Butterfly in Mixed Media

Hello Friends!

Yesterday I decided to create a butterfly in a butterfly bush on the mixed media canvas I posted the other day.

I used black Liquitex acrylic ink to paint the outline of the butterfly. Then I mixed the colors Phthalocyanine Green (yellow shade) and Cadium Yellow Light acrylic inks to paint the butterfly.

Since I didn’t want just a butterfly, I decided to use Golden Magenta Liquid acrylic paint for the blossoms of a butterfly bush and mixed some dark and light green acrylic paint together for the leaves.

This one was pretty fun! And while I painted, I listened to the book “Each Journey Begins” by Den Ming-Dao. The person who narrates it has a soothing and melodic voice which is perfect for creating art.

Have a wonderful day! 😀
