Audrey Hepburn in Monochrome

Hello Friends!

Yesterday I decided to paint my first monochrome painting in acrylics. This was really challenging, however, I was working from a black and white photo that is the cover of the book “Audrey Hepburn: A Charmed Life” by Robyn Karney.

The only colors I used were, black, white, and Payne’s Gray. I painted it on a 12×12″ canvas. I was going to do a charcoal drawing of it first. But I started sketching it in pencil and then decided to paint it in acrylics instead. I still may do a charcoal drawing of her, but from a different picture.

Have a wonderful day! 😀

When I began this blog I was simply going to share my writing. However, after being part of the blogging world for quite some time now, I decided to begin sharing my artwork. Patsy's Creative Corner will always have my artwork. Thanks for visiting! :)
