Picasso in Acrylics
Hello Friends!
Yesterday I wanted to try painting a leaning figure abstractly again. So…I looked for pictures of Pablo Picasso. The one I used for a reference shows him leaning against the side wall of something that kind of looks like a tunnel. I didn’t want the background to be too prominent, though. So I made him larger in proportion to the tunnel he is standing in.
I exaggerated figure so his head is large in proportion to his shorter torso. But I just went with the flow and did my own thing! So it was a lot of fun! I spent more time on it than I had originally thought I would, but it was time well spent.
Have a wonderful day!

Thanks, Jill. It’s a little funky, but it was fun!

With those ears he could almost pass for one of your fairy creatures. But seriously, you did a great job on him, especially making it your own adaptation.

Too funny! Thanks very much. I enjoyed this one! It was not for my class, though.
