Cardinal in Mixed Media

Hello Friends!

The other day I covered this 8×10 wood panel with collage. Then today I decided to paint this Cardinal on it with acrylics. I had fun painting this since it has been ages since I have painted any birds. It was a nice change of pace.

I hope everyone has had a nice week. I had a relaxing week drawing and painting smaller things and cleaning up my studio. I made a space for a new floor easel I just ordered! It will support canvases up to 72″ high! Of couse I have never painted anything nearly that large! And I don’t know if I ever will, but at least I won’t have to bend over a table or sit on the floor to paint large canvases anymore! So for that I am grateful.

I found a great sale on an all wood H-frame easel made by So Ho. I am feeling a little nervous about getting something like this shipped in the mail and then having to put it together, but hopefully, everything will go fine.

Have a wonderful day! 😀

  1. I’m sure George will have no problem putting your new easel together. The cardinal looks beautiful!

  2. I’m sure you’ll figure out how to set up the easel. That should make it more comfortable to do your artwork.
