Chinese Girl in Pencil

Hello Friends!

Yesterday I finished this drawing of this cute young Chinese girl. Her clothing was my biggest challenge, but I really want to practice drawing and painting clothing! I poused an app to put the red backgroubd in for my instagram page. I like how th red looks against the white background.

Her hair was easier to make dark since on Friday I went to Michael’s and bought some darker, softer graphite pencils. When I use those, I don’t have to press as hard to darken anything so it isn’t as hard on my arm. All the ones I have are down to about 1/4 inch or less in length now; I have had them for years. I plan to get a few more pencil extenders soon so I can use the smallest pencils as completely as possible.

I don’t know what this week’s project for Let’sFaceIt2020 is going to be yet. And I am still hoping to win a free membership!

I hope everyone had a nice weekend!

Have a wonderful day! 😀

  1. Lovely drawing ! I like the sound of the graphite pencils. I sometimes don’t get a dark enough line with pencil, so I might give them a try.
