Profile Portrait of a Black Woman
Yesterday I got all caught up with my portraits for Let’sFaceIt2020! Our instructor last week was Misty. I skipped this lesson at the time, because I was working on other things.
Misty took a picture of herself with rays of light shining on her. Then she fixed the color the way she wanted it in Photoshop. Next she painted her own portrait in oils with gold leaf paper for her background.
I, on the other hand, painted my whole painting in acrylics. I have never used oils or bought gold leaf paper. This was such a fun painting to do! I thoroughly enjoyed it. And with the whole movement of Black Lives Matter happening, it was great timing for her class.
I hope you all had a productive and happy week!
Have a wonderful day!
