Young Girl in Thought

Hello Friends!

Last night I sketched this girl in pencil whose photo was provided this week by our teacher, Lucy Cooke, in Let’sfaceit2020. I enjoyed the challenge of drawing clothes and tennis shoes, especially at this angle!

However, this is not the photo she chose to paint in acrylics for our class. That one is even harder! I began it yesterday and hope to finish today.

She painted in the style of Henri Matisse, who was a French artist in the early 1900s. I know very little about him except that he painted with very bright and bold colors! And he drew very simple faces. So I hope mine comes out okay!

Have a wonderful day and give someone you love a big hug! 😀

About whitefeatherfloating

When I began this blog I was simply going to share my writing. However, after being part of the blogging world for quite some time now, I decided to begin sharing my artwork. Patsy's Creative Corner will always have my artwork. Thanks for visiting! :)

  3. Not only the tilt of her head and the eyes looking sideways a bit, but the arms and legs – the whole body language tells the story. Well captured!
