Portrait of a Girl in Charcoal
Hello Friends!
Last night I decided to do the lesson for Week #22 of Let’sFaceIt2020.
I did not take the time to watch the instructional videos of the instructor, Juna Biagioni, though. I have other projects I am working on right now. Also, I think I dislike charcoal more every time I draw with it! But that’s okay. I still wanted to give it a go. I am not an artist who feels I must perfect every medium I try, that’s for sure. Ha ha! But experimenting is fun!
Later today I am going to start on the lesson for Week #23, and when I finish it, I will be all caught up again! It is a full body portrait in watercolor, so I am sure it will be challenging! And, as you may know, I LOVE watercolors!
Have a wonderful day and give someone you love a big hug! 😀

You may dislike charcoal, but you use it well.

Well, thank you, Anneli. I think I just don’t like how dirty my hands get or something! Ha ha.

It is messy, and even afterwards if you accidentally rub on the picture it comes off. Maybe there’s something that can be sprayed on the finished pic. Doesn’t help your dirty hands though, I know.

Yes, I have a fixative spray for charcoal. It’s pretty smelly, though, so I have to spray it outside.
