Flower-Eyed Fairy Sketch
Hello Friends!
Today I drew this fairy on 9×12″ tracing paper in pencil, but not darkly. Hope you can see it. She came out of my imagination, so I had to figure out how to do her hands the way I wanted them. She just snapped her fingers, so I think something is going to happen to…somebody…maybe you!
I was thinking about doing her in mixed media, but I think I am going to do watercolors. Now I need to transfer the drawing to some watercolor paper and think about the colors I want to use. Plus I will be adding detail to her wings and a background of course. I may make the flower iris and pupil smaller, too.
Have a wonderful day and give someone you love a big hug! 😀

This is interesting to a non-artist such as I. I tend to see only the finished product but I like the way you have shown us the process with this one.

Thanks, Julia. A lot of people seem to share your thoughts about my sharing my process. I actually enjoy that. I have been taking art classes online this year and really enjoying it! I am doing the Let’sfaceit2020 52 week classes learning to do portraiture and other shorter classes as well. This weekend I am starting a fairy watercolor painting workshop with an awesome artist who has done two of our lessons in Let’sfaceit2020! She’s so amazing!
