Portrait in Acrylics – Stage 4

Hello Friends!

Today I worked on this portrait some more. I added more layers to her skintones and some highlights, because she is in the sun. Then I worked on her camera case. The instructor painted hers a dark brown more like the photo. But I decided to go with a purplish color, because I love purple!

I am thinking about painting her shirt in tones of yellow…maybe…and the background kind of a light green to indicate grass. But I am going to finish her hair first.

I took yesterday off from art to rest my shoulder. I wish I had worked out, but I never got around to it; I did some chores instead. I may have to take tomorrow off from painting, too, since I will be roasting a chicken. I didn’t even realize it was Easter weekend, because I have lost track of time since the pandemic began as I am sure many others have, too.

Have a wonderful day and give someone you love a big hug! 😀

When I began this blog I was simply going to share my writing. However, after being part of the blogging world for quite some time now, I decided to begin sharing my artwork. Patsy's Creative Corner will always have my artwork. Thanks for visiting! :)

  2. She’s got a lot of forehead, but otherwise looks great. And maybe she DOES have a lot of forehead.
