Portrait of My Daughter-Stage 2

Hello Friends!

This is stage 2 of the acrylic portrait of my daughter that I am painting. I wasn’t going to work on it yesterday, but after I exercised, I was going to just make a few touches, but I ended up working for a lot longer…in my exercise clothes…before my shower, ha ha!

I know it looks ugly under her chin right now, but even though almost all of her neck is in dark shadow in the photo, I plan to lighten it up and paint in some of her shirt. Her shoulder isn’t painted yet either. Also, her hair is brownish blonde and looks darker on the right side of her face (your left as you look at this.) And that is Wampus, our cat sitting on my table.

I have not had the greatest light for the past few days, so I am hoping it is sunny tomorrow! I will probably be working on this for awhile! I think she looks a little too pink so I hope to lighten her face a little, too.

Have a wonderful day and give someone you love a big hug! 😀

When I began this blog I was simply going to share my writing. However, after being part of the blogging world for quite some time now, I decided to begin sharing my artwork. Patsy's Creative Corner will always have my artwork. Thanks for visiting! :)

  1. It’s interesting to watch the stages as the work progresses and how you can assess what needs to be done.
