Portrait of a Girl Praying in Acrylics
Hello Friends!
Yesterday and today I worked on the assignment for Week 12 of Let’sfaceit2020. The instructor was Larissa West. She said this was her mini lesson which she covered in two short videos. So she will be doing her longer lesson sometime in the fall but in oils. Most likely I will still be doing mine in acrylics.
I liked the pose in the picture she picked. I especially liked the closed eyes! The angle was challenging as well as the darker skin tone, but I have been wanting to paint more dark skin tones, too.
I call this one “Girl Praying” because our world is in so much need these days. I think as long as we are all reaching out to the one we believe in, healing will come, in spite of people’s different beliefs.
I hope you are all doing well wherever you are, and I pray you stay well!
Have a wonderful day and give someone you love a big hug! 😀
