Hello Friends!

Yesterday I decided to use some great discount coupons to buy a few colors of Liquitex Acrylic Inks. I got a really great deal on on a set of primary colors and then also bought some Transparent Raw Sienna and Transparent Burnt Sienna, because I have plans to use them in other portraits. This was the medium used by Maria Pace Wynters in Week #8 of Let’sFaceIt2020. She uses hers on wood substrates, but I don’t have any of those. So I plan to use them on canvas and paper for now.

The “primary” blue in this set is really a Cerulean Blue Hue which is much lighter than an actual primary blue, but I like it! It is one of my favorite blue hues.

These inks come in 1 oz. bottles with droppers. So I just put some in my metal tray a drop at a time, (which goes a long way) and used small paint brushes on an 8″x 8″ canvas I had on hand.

Ivy is an open, honest and very sweet person. I highly recommend her as an art instructor! This was a fun portrait to do! I have a lot to learn about these acrylic inks, but as you know, I love learning new things!
