Portrait in Mixed Media – Stage 2

Hello Friends!

Happy Friday. Yesterday I added more layers of tissue paper in her hair. I don’t think I want to paint over it again, though. Honestly, I don’t like adding too many layers, because to me, it begins to look weird. (I can’t think of a better word right now!)

Then I decided to enhance her dress with a simple design. As you can see, I also added a sea turtle tattoo to her back and more color on the flowers in her hair.

I still want to paint more details in the tattoo, the flowers, and her eyes. I struggled with getting her eyes the color brown I was going for. I kind of wish I had thought of trying to paint blue eyes instead of dark brown like the teacher demonstrated, but it’s okay. I love the way she did hers. Besides, I can do the next portrait with blue eyes.

I hope everyone has had a great week. Enjoy your weekend!

Have a wonderful day and give someone you love a big hug! 😀

When I began this blog I was simply going to share my writing. However, after being part of the blogging world for quite some time now, I decided to begin sharing my artwork. Patsy's Creative Corner will always have my artwork. Thanks for visiting! :)
