Portraits in Pen & Ink

Hello Friends!

Today I did Lesson 5 of the Let’sFaceIt2020 portraiture classes. Our instructor, Lucy Cooke, demonstrated using ink with twigs, a paint brush, and pens with nibs, all dipped in ink.

I really tried to draw with twigs, but the end results were disastrous! Then I tried the pen with a couple of different sized nibs. Those ended up in the circular file as well.

So I got out a small paint brush and ended up with six little portaits on 4″x6″ cards. I decided they were enough for one afternoon. I love experimenting with different drawing tools, but twigs felt weird!

Have a wonderful day and give someone you love a big hug! 😀

When I began this blog I was simply going to share my writing. However, after being part of the blogging world for quite some time now, I decided to begin sharing my artwork. Patsy's Creative Corner will always have my artwork. Thanks for visiting! :)

  1. Interesting to try out different ways of drawing, but in the end, you do what works best.
