Second Acrylic Portrait – Stages 2 and 3
Hello Friends!
Yesterday and today I have been working on the fourth portrait for my online class, Let’sFaceIt2020. The instructor this week is Amy Beeman. She is really fantastic!
I love how she explains and demonstrates what colors to mix and lay down for each layer of the portrait. I am enjoying this so much! And for me, the best part is, my shoulder doesn’t hurt after a couple of hours of working like it used to! Yay! It is healing so well!
So here are my next two stages of the painting.
STAGE 2
STAGE 3
In the picture she is teaching from, the girl has beautiful red hair. So working dark to light will be interesting. There are also shadows around her face and in her hair which makes it even more challenging. It is only about 2:15 p.m. right now in northern California, so I am going to watch the next video for how to do the next layer, but I haven’t decided yet whether I am also going to paint it today. My stomach is growling for a late lunch!
Have a wonderful day, and give someone you love a big hug! 🙂
