Sea Turtle in Mixed Media

Hello Friends!

It has been quite a while since I have posted anything. I did this little 4″x4″ sea turtle a few minutes ago. I already had the background painted on the canvas with acrylics. So I decided to put something on it.

I used charcoal and oil pastels for the turtle and waves. Then I used molding paste to add some texture and lift to the waves.

Our family has had a tough week. We had to put our 17-year-old dog, Brownie, to sleep on Tuesday afternoon. She just couldn’t get around anymore and kept losing weight. It was a tough decision, but it was for the best. We buried her in our backyard that evening. It was a sad night.

Lastly, we are expecting our power company to turn our power off again this afternoon, and we don’t know for how long. There are going to be high winds and high humidity, so they are cutting it to prevent fires. But we are prepared. And at least now we have water since the hatchery has a generator for the well.

Have a wonderful day and give someone you love a big hug. 😀

When I began this blog I was simply going to share my writing. However, after being part of the blogging world for quite some time now, I decided to begin sharing my artwork. Patsy's Creative Corner will always have my artwork. Thanks for visiting! :)
