Portrait of a Girl

Hello Friends!

I am so excited that I completed this in about a half hour! I watched Ivy Newport do a portrait class called “Into the Blue” where she talks about Pablo Picasso’s “blue” period. I have to say that I had to trace the outline, though, because I couldn’t get her proportions right otherwise. Believe me…I tried!

I used a couple of watercolor pencils and some charcoal with water for this. I also did most of the painting with my nondominant hand! Anyway, I thought she was a beautiful Chinese girl when I printed this out a few years ago. I added most of her hat myself.

I have not begun any abstract painting yet…still reading the book. But I have some things in mind.

Have a wonderful day and give someone you love a big hug! 😀

When I began this blog I was simply going to share my writing. However, after being part of the blogging world for quite some time now, I decided to begin sharing my artwork. Patsy's Creative Corner will always have my artwork. Thanks for visiting! :)
