Stage 1 Butterfly Mixed Media

Hello Friends!

Over the weekend I began preparing this new canvas for another mixed media butterfly. After I collaged it, I dropped some alcohol inks on it and used a straw to blow them around for some shapes that resemble butterfly wings.

After I took this picture I whitewashed the canvas with Liquitex Absorbent Ground to dull the ink splotches some so I can draw the butterfly and paint it in watercolors. Wish me luck! I probably won’t get to do it today, though, because I have to go to town.

Have a wonderful day, and give someone you love a big hug! 😀

About whitefeatherfloating

When I began this blog I was simply going to share my writing. However, after being part of the blogging world for quite some time now, I decided to begin sharing my artwork. Patsy's Creative Corner will always have my artwork. Thanks for visiting! :)
