Purple Iris in Pencil

Hello Friends!

I drew this purple Iris yesterday. I am planning to paint one in purple and another similar one I drew for a yellow Iris. I may do them in watercolor first. Then I plan to make them smaller and put them together on a mixed media piece.

I have begun editing the article I wrote for my writing class about perils sea turtles face. The editor at the magazine, “Skipping Stones,” said to go ahead and send it to her. The other day I received my copies she sent me of the current issue which has my article about Leafy Sea Dragons in it. It is exciting to be published. (At least I can say it happened before I turned 60! Ha, ha! I won’t be 60 until the end of 2020, though. I remember when the year 2000 seemed to sound so far away!)

I hope everyone has a safe and relaxing 4th of July tomorrow! We will most likely stay home. We are far from town, and don’t like crowds.

Have a wonderful day and give someone you love a big hug! 😀

When I began this blog I was simply going to share my writing. However, after being part of the blogging world for quite some time now, I decided to begin sharing my artwork. Patsy's Creative Corner will always have my artwork. Thanks for visiting! :)
