Fairies & Fauna Collage

Hello Friends!

This is going to be one of my next mixed media pieces. I took the watercolors I did on rice paper and tore them in pieces for this collage. I applied them to my canvas with my Liquitex Matte Medium. Then the next day I applied a coat of Golden’s Absorbent Ground so I can paint on it in waterciolors. I am not sure what I want to paint yet, though.

I have also started on my last flower mixed media for now which will be red and pink poppies instead of Peonies. I may try those later.

I hope everyone is having a good week so far. The heat has finally hit us here. So I am very thankful that our air conditioning is working so well now!!

Have a wonderful day and give someone you love a big hug. 😀

When I began this blog I was simply going to share my writing. However, after being part of the blogging world for quite some time now, I decided to begin sharing my artwork. Patsy's Creative Corner will always have my artwork. Thanks for visiting! :)

  1. Beautiful colors, Patsy. I love the little fairy up top.

  2. That would be a fun page to colour in a colouring book. I bet you had fun making this one up. The fairies and the mushrooms – very cute.
