Paper Weaving!

Hello Friends!

I like to surprise you with the unexpected once in awhile! I am taking Miriam Schulman’s “Mixed Media Madness” class online. I actually am doing several classes right now so I don’t get bored. Ha, ha! Really, I think my A.D D. may just be in high gear. Or I just love variety! 😉 Honestly, I know it’s a little bit of both.

Getting back to this paper weaving project, I was watching The Sandlot (the original) while I was cutting and weaving so I think I messed up in a couple of places.

I got a huge bargain on patterned and solid colored paper pads at Michaels…buy 1, get 2 free! So I scooped them up! I am going to be cutting this down to fit it in my art journal and adding some other stuff on top of it to make a mixed media piece.

In orher news, the magazine editor who’s publishing my leafy sea dragon article also accepted my drawing to publish in the article as well. So that’s exciting!

It is already getting warm here in Northern California. I just hope it doesn’t get hot too soon. More rain would also be great! Having an actual Springtime would be nice.

Have a wonderful day, and give someone you love a big hug! 😀

When I began this blog I was simply going to share my writing. However, after being part of the blogging world for quite some time now, I decided to begin sharing my artwork. Patsy's Creative Corner will always have my artwork. Thanks for visiting! :)

  1. I’ve done fabric weaving but not so much with paper. Might have to try it since I have so much but it won’t be for a while. I love the look of what you did and the “mistake” looks intentional.

  2. Congratulations on the leafy sea dragon drawing, Patsy! That’s so wonderful. And weaving is so much fun!
