Foktale Week – Day 5 – Insect
Hello Friends!
I decided to draw the characters in an Aesop fable today called “The Owl and the Grasshopper.”
If you’re familiar with the fable, you know that this grasshopper’s singing kept this owl awake during the day which she did not like, so she talked him into going up to have a glass of wine that came from Olympus and was what Apollo drank before singing to the high gods.
Well, flattery only landed that grasshopper in the owl’s mouth and gave her a nice crunchy meal!
Have a wonderful day, and give someone you love a big hug! 🙂

I’m behind, Patsy but the drawing makes me smile. I don’t think I read that fable.:( I’ll try and catch up soon.

Thank you! I hadn’t read that one in years. We have a book of Aesop’s fables that we used to read to the kids.
Are you drawing for folktale week, too?

No, I don’t draw at all. I sew and embroider. I used to paint if I had a pattern. I miss that but there are only so many hours in a day. 😉

I never liked to sew. My mom was an excellent seamstress, though. Embroidery takes a lot of patience! Kudos to you! 😁
