Inktober 2018 – Day #1 – Poisonous

Hello Friends!

This is my first year of participating in Inktober! I am not doing it every day by any means. In fact, the first day is the only one I have been able to do so far!

In case you aren’t familiar with Inktober, the illustrator, Jake Parker, started this in 2009 and it took off! Apparently, people have been participating in it worldwide ever since which I think is pretty cool! Here’s a link to his website. https://www.mrjakeparker.com/inktober-1/

The video is only about a minute and a half of him talking about it! Check it out!

Also, I decided that the second image for my illustration class is going to be in black and white. I am planning to do it with Chinese ink and brushes! Wish me luck!  😉

I worked on pencil drawings of my characters in different poses yesterday for the ink drawing, but still need to fill in a little bit of background but this one is going to have lots of white space and be a simpler composition!

So at this point I am not worrying about posting every day for Inktober. That’s the great thing about things like this. You just do what you can when you can!

My last pieces for the class contest are due by Saturday at 5 p.m. So it is going to be a busy next couple of days for me! I hope everyone is having a great week and has a nice weekend! Until next time….

Have a wonderful day, and give someone you love a big hug! 🙂

About whitefeatherfloating

When I began this blog I was simply going to share my writing. However, after being part of the blogging world for quite some time now, I decided to begin sharing my artwork. Patsy's Creative Corner will always have my artwork. Thanks for visiting! :)

  1. That is one poisonous looking mushroom! 🍄😉 Sounds like a fun project for the month of October, Patsy…. I will look forward to seeing more of your ink drawings. 👍
