Olive Ridley Sea Turtle Drawing
Hello Friends,
Meet Olive, the Olive Ridley sea turtle again, (or if you haven’t met her, she says “Hello everybody!”) This is a quick sketch of her, but I will add an ocean background, probably different from the larger painting I did a few years ago. I have redrawn her on a much smaller scale! And here is why —
I wanted you to know that I am redrawing the seven types of sea turtles again to paint in watercolors on a much smaller scale, 5 x 7 to be exact, so I can get blank greeting cards made from them. (This is in response to my “#1 fan” Jill W.!! I love you, Jill!) 😉
So that is what I am working on in addition to doing a new watercolor painting for a friend which I am going to post when it is done. I will be posting the second sea turtle I drew later this week, too. Hmmm….which one will it be?
I hope you all are enjoying your summer! We finally have some much cooler weather for a while which I am enjoying! Stay cool…and always remember to….
Have a wonderful day, and give someone you love a BIG hug! 🙂

Beautiful sketch I had to paint a sea turtle on a huge wall for the local school and they are not as easy to draw as some would think, you always capture them perfectly Patsy.

Thanks so much Kath! They are not easy but I have been drawing them for years. I bet your wall is beautiful! You are very talented.

Awe thanks. Myself and another artist volunteered to brighten up a school training room, we did not know each other then but over many weeks of painting we bonded and now have a precious friendship. The kids love their underwater mural. So art can bring people together Patsy, just like us.

You’re welcome. That is great. I have yet to find a local artist to bond with. I enjoy getting to know you and all the great friends I have on WordPress!
