Sea Turtle’s Greatest Peril!
Hello Friends,
Well, this is a different kind of skull! It is not human for one thing. I painted it from a photo I found of a sea turtle’s skull and a couple of bones at the bottom of the ocean. It was also another photo that had a lot of darkness in it, but I wanted it to be lighter. There is a bone in front of the skull and one off to the side. It is just another depiction of the greatest peril that will eventually come to us all…death.
Everything dies at some point, but I would rather see a sea turtle die a natural death than be slaughtered for its meat and shells. It grieves me greatly.
I only have one more painting to post of another peril that happens to sea turtles unless I decide to do more at some point. However, the next one is also a peril that many sea turtles are saved from every day by the wonderful people who don’t want them to suffer or die. So look for it tomorrow.
Have a wonderful day, and give someone you love a big hug! 🙂

Thanks, Jill. It was tricky with the shadows and sad because it’s a sea turtle’s skull. 😦 But I just want to raise awareness and hope that anyone who reads my blog will also fall in love with these beautiful creatures! 🙂
