Sea Turtle Traveling Alone

Hello Friends!

Well, I have finally gone back to painting my first love…SEA TURTLES!  Today I was feeling a little blue about some things and decided to give myself some therapy…art therapy, that is.  I just began with a sky, then the water, then had to add a sea turtle and finish with water around her.

I think she is going in search for a friend to play with.  It is amazing how beautiful sea turtles look when they are playing.  I have seen them play on different shows from National Geographic and other nature shows.  They are such a beautiful and genteel creature, I just cannot for the life of me understand how people can think they need to make money from their shells and meat.  It’s just so sad!  Hopefully someday it will be illegal everywhere in the world.

The slaughter of sea turtles still happens, but I am thankful for all the short videos I have seen of fishermen who are just out fishing and happen to catch one in a net or on a hook but take the time to pull them in, cut them loose and gently put them back in the water.  I thank God for those people!

I think I am going to name her Tahlulah!  Maybe she’s a Southern Belle….probably out on the southeastern coast of the United States…she’s traveling to say hi to my friend Jill out in North Carolina.  Watch for her again…I may be painting more of Tahlulah soon.

When I began this blog I was simply going to share my writing. However, after being part of the blogging world for quite some time now, I decided to begin sharing my artwork. Patsy's Creative Corner will always have my artwork. Thanks for visiting! :)

  1. Aw…I love Tahlulah, Patsy! I hope she does pay me a visit. Sorry to hear you were feeling blue, but I bet Tahlulah cheered you up. Great job! Enjoy your weekend. xo

    • Thanks, Jill! Keep an eye out for her! Yeah, well, it was very temporary, and yes, Tahlulah did cheer me up in fact! 🙂 Enjoy your weekend as well. It is raining cats and dogs outside right now as it has been all week long, but tomorrow it’s supposed to be sunny…hmmm…we’ll see! xo
