D&D Miniatures Painting Continued….

Hello Friends.  The last few days I worked on a few more miniatures for my husband’s Dungeons & Dragons game.  I have finished six out of about 50 that I am planning to complete.  I reached the deadline for the first six that he wanted which is today.  It feels good to complete a goal!  He is packing up all of his stuff and getting ready to meet with his group as I type this.

So here is what I have done so far:

As you can see the Kobolds are in the the front.  The one on the far right was the first one I did, then the middle one and then the far left one.  I even added some blood on a couple of their daggers.  Fun stuff!  Remember they are small creatures and usually work together in small armies against their enemies!

The miniatures in the back are called Cultists.  Apparently they worship dragons.  They also carry human skulls on their backs, probably from victims they have sacrificed to a hungry dragon!  Yikes!  I think I would stay away from them myself.  However, they were fun to paint!  I especially love the purple and yellow one.  I had two different colors of purple so I was able to put nice highlights on the robe.  I was able to use a rust color for highlights on the brown robed one, and a gray I mixed for the black robed cultist.  I enjoyed doing these a lot!  I did two of them yesterday!  However, not all of the empty eye sockets showed up on the skulls very well because the sculpting was a little rough, but I am amazed that anyone could actually sculpt miniatures.  My hat goes off to those artists!

Since it is Sunday I am planning to work out.  My arm and shoulder are doing fine, but I have a bit of a twinge in my back that needs to be taken care of.  Stretching and exercise always helps!  So after that I will probably read before I cook dinner since George won’t be home until 6:00 or so.  Easy tuna casserole tonight!  It’s already 1:00 – I gotta get movin’!

Hopefully, my next post will be the painting I have started of my friends’s dog that is another surprise.  I hope it turns out like I want it to.  I’m still trying to decide what to do in the background.  I have started on it, though, and I really love the new colors of watercolors I bought to do the eyes!  I love the way they turned out.  So until next time…

Have a wonderful day, and give someone you love a big hug!  🙂

When I began this blog I was simply going to share my writing. However, after being part of the blogging world for quite some time now, I decided to begin sharing my artwork. Patsy's Creative Corner will always have my artwork. Thanks for visiting! :)

  1. So good to see you back to your art and crafts Patsy! My middle boy used to be into Warhammer in a big way, painting all those tiny models. Now they’re somewhere in the loft in a box…along with loads of others! 🙂 Have a wonderful week my friend! xoxo

    • This is something new for me, Sherri! It is hard on the eyes for sure! That’s great about your son. Sounds like it gave him something constructive to do. None of us have ever played Warhammer, though. For role-playing just D&D and our son is learning a game called World of Darkness. You have a wonderful weekend too, Sherri! I don’t know if I’ll be able to contact anyone again until later in the week next week. Just found out roof contractors are doing our roof and will probably have to remove our satellite dish for our internet. It’s always something….

      • Ahh…thanks for letting me know about your internet Patsy, otherwise I would have worried about you. Sorry to hear about that. I hope your roof gets fixed quickly. As you say, it’s always something…my week has been a nightmare, but climbing back out, just. I’ll tell you about it when you’re back online and I have a chance to message you. Deep breath…moving forward and I’m sending you lots of love and huge hugs and hoping you have a wonderful weekend. You are a wonderful friend dear Patsy…love you! ❤

        • Well, the roof is done, but they can’t get someone out to reconnect the satellite dish on the roof until Wednesday! UGH! I’m at Starbucks in town. We had dentist appointments today so I took advantage of being in town. Grace is sick today so she got out of going to the dentist but not in a fun way for sure. Sorry you had such a bad week! I will be online in town tomorrow at the library or somewhere for a little bit. So you can message me today and I’ll get it tomorrow. Hope you have a better week this week and everything is okay! Yes, deep breath…love you too, Sherri! 🙂 Lots of love and hugs back to you.

          • UGH is right! What a pain..yay for Starbucks so you can at least get on the internet for a short while. I didn’t get a chance to message you yesterday, but will after this. Soon you’ll be up and running again my friend…these things are sent to try us indeed! Much love and huge hugs…still keeping hold of those deep breaths! ❤ xoxo

  2. Congratulations on achieving your goal, Patsy. They look great! I’m sure George is very appreciative. You’ve got more patience than I do. 🙂
By the way, I don’t know if you saw my message on FB, but the turtle gift was from me. I ordered two things and enclosed one gift card. I guess Amazon split the shipment. The card should be in the next delivery. Have a great week! xo

    • Thank you, Jill! They are fun to do, but tedious for sure. I have to use a magnifying lamp with my reading glasses on. But I wear those to draw or paint anyway.
Yes, I did see the FB message! Thank you so much! I wondered if it was you; I figured they must have left the card out or something. But wow, I am getting another package? Fun! Thanks again, Jill. I appreciate it. I haven’t decided what I’m going to use the journal for yet. I don’t keep diaries like I used to, but I know I can use it for just about anything! You have a wonderful week too! xoxo 🙂
