Sea Turtles: Their Journey From the Shore and Back!

Hello friends!

Yesterday I watched one of the best nature videos I have ever seen!  Turtle:  The Incredible Journey is not only informative, but it features some of the very best oceanography I have ever seen!

It tells the story of a sea turtle’s life cycle from the time it hatches from its egg struggling to make it into the ocean (despite perils that can end its life right away) to when it makes it back to the same beach to lay its own eggs many years later.

Parts of it made me cry, but all of it is truly amazing to watch!  Sea turtles are one of the ocean’s more fantastic creatures in my humble opinion, but if you have kept up with my blog in the last couple of years, you already knew that!

I found this incredible movie at my local library, and I wish I had known about it when it showed in theatres a several years ago! It  would have been a real treat for me to see it on the BIG SCREEN!!  Check it out sometime.  In the meantime here is the trailer.  You will be amazed especially if you don’t already know about the female sea turtle’s life cycle.

Have a wonderful day, and give someone you love a big hug!  🙂
