Here’s what’s next in my picture book, “Larry the Lonely Leatherback.”
Page 7 says, “When Larry feels lonely,”
Then this is page 8:
What do you think?
Have a wonderful day, and give someone you love a big hug! 🙂

It is amazing that these fellas can weigh up to 1,500 pounds and be over 7 feet long! I think a National Geographic article said they are the deepest diving turtles, but don’t dive deep at night. Too bad plastic bags mistaken by them for jellyfish are putting these beautiful creatures on the endangered species list.

Yes, they are quite amazing creatures and get very huge! They are the deepest diving sea turtles and jellyfish is their favorite food so the plastic bags in the ocean are definitely a problem! All 7 varieties of sea turtles are on the endangered species list now. People poach them and sell them as food, use their shells, especially Hawksbill sea turtles, to make jewelry and everything. That’s why I want to write the books, because even though my stories may or may not include all of these facts, I want to write a blurb about those facts in the back of the book to raise awareness. 🙂

Patsy, if you are interested in self-publishing Larry’s story, which is easy to do, I can help you learn the steps to saving your work in MSWord and getting it self-published on CreatSpace.com. They even have a children’s book creator you can use. I have published several children’s books on createspace and it is relatively easy. Traditional publishers are hard to come by anymore who are willing to take on unknown authors. You can contact me at mjeanniehen@att.net if you are interested.
