Where’s Waldo?

Wheres-Waldo

Well, I realize I am not Waldo, but just in case anyone has been wondering where I have been, I’ll tell ya!

Hello friends.  It has been over a month since I have posted ANYTHING!  I feel I have done a disservice to faithful followers of this blog.  I am truly sorry about that.

This year has been a strange one for me.  First, as some of you may know, my daughter’s schedule takes me to town four days a week now.  I am jetting her from class to class on Mondays and Wednesdays with just enough time to go to the gym while she’s in her first class, eat some lunch in between, and then either go somewhere else while she’s in her second class or stay there and wait for her.  However, this has been pretty good for me, because it has been forcing me to stay in shape, avoid fancy (expensive) coffees and scones, and generally stay healthier.  Also, I have been reading a lot more than I have in a long time.   On the other two days, I just go to the gym and we usually come straight home.  So I either read or we catch up on some television!

However, it has not given me huge blocks of time for doing any artwork.  Hmmm….that’s not quite true.  I do have large blocks of time on Fridays and the weekends, but by then I don’t have the energy to do art.  Lately, I have been doing a lot more thinking about certain issues.  I don’t really want to open a huge can of worms here so I won’t.  But just know that I have not had the energy to really write at all this year or do much art.  I know that is okay, because that is just where I am at right now.  But I wanted YOU to know I have not forgotten any of you.

I have wanted to read your blogs, but for a while we were having internet problems which prevented me from doing so.  When I have been in town and remembered to take my laptop, I have tried, but for some reason the WiFi at my usual hangouts has not been working well enough for me to do so!  It has been truly frustrating.  So I turned to books for comfort (my reading friends will love that) and friends at the gym for social time.

I love the gym where I work out at.  Many people are focused on themselves (like me) because our time is limited, but I have noticed many people are friends and have a good time challenging each other.  There’s usually a class going on when I get there on Mondays and Wednesdays where I see a friend, but we usually don’t get to talk much.  It’s just nice seeing a familiar face, though.  However, overall, most people there are friendly, kind and courteous.  The people at the front desk always greet me when I check in and are always helpful if I have a question.  It’s just an overall great place to go!

So that is what has been happening with me.  I did start sketching a rough draft for a painting I want to do for my daugher, though.  She only has one more week of school before her Spring Break, so I will get to it then for sure.  I just need to avoid that darn television!

Have a wonderful day, and give someone you love a big hug!  🙂

About whitefeatherfloating

When I began this blog I was simply going to share my writing. However, after being part of the blogging world for quite some time now, I decided to begin sharing my artwork. Patsy's Creative Corner will always have my artwork. Thanks for visiting! :)
