Dragon Watercolor
Hello everyone! It has been a long while since I last posted any art. Recently my son celebrated his 19th birthday, and this is what I painted for him. This hungry dragon is chasing an elf out of his village! My son is a gamer and has been learning to play Dungeons and Dragons and is a Gamemaster for a game he does with my husband and daughter and other friends of theirs. My husband is also doing a D & D game so they switch off every other Wednesday which means I get to be home on Wednesday nights by myself for a few hours. Sometimes I draw while I watch t.v. or I read. Anyway, I plan to do a few more different dragons, but I am also still working on my first picturebook about Larry, the Leatherback Sea Turtle. I am just not sure how to go about trying to get it published yet. Plus, I am still in the preliminary stages since I have only gotten most of the pencil drawings of it done. I haven’t begun to do any paintings of it yet.
This year has been strange for me, though, since I am driving my daughter to town for her high school classes 3 to 4 days a week. We are there all day on Mondays and Wednesdays, so it is hard for me to work on any long projects. However, I spend her class time at the gym on those days, so I am feeling better physically for sure! It helps keep my arm in shape for drawing and painting so it is definitely a plus. I go to the gym during her first class in the morning, then eat lunch at her second teacher’s house (because Charlotte only teaches her classes to homeschool students in her home,) and sometimes I go somewhere to draw or catch up on some writing or internet stuff. So I feel like I am all over the place right now.
I have missed connecting with all of the wonderful friends I have made here on WordPress in the last few years. Just know I do think about all of you! Soon I hope to post a drawing I did one night when I was thinking about homeless people during the holiday season.
Have a great day, and give someone you love a big hug!! 🙂
