Wacky Wednesdays – My Abstract Art
Hello! I have decided to try a little something new with my art this year – a little ABSTRACT ART.
I am not planning to do a lot of it, but since I’ve been having trouble with my right shoulder again (probably from all of the writing I’ve been doing,) I decided to give painting with my LEFT hand a try, thus ABSTRACTLY. ๐ It’s actually something I’ve always wanted to do. The first one turned out okay. I am sure you can tell what it is. I looked up abstract art and saw that it isn’t all stuff that’s just done randomly. I don’t really understand it very well, but here it is.
So that’s going to be my thing on Wednesdays for a while.
Then on Fridays, I am planning to have Flower Fridays. I will have to start with posting some of the flowers I have already done until I can draw and paint what I want to with my RIGHT hand. So this is going to be my weeks on here for awhile:
Mockingbird Mondays (writing about Nelle Harper Lee’s book and her)
Wacky Wednesdays (abstract art done with my left hand)
and….Flower Fridays.
Just thought I would change things up for a while. Hope you enjoy it. Have a wonderful day, and give someone you love a big hug. ๐

I don’t know what all the left hand fuss is about – I draw with my left hand all the time…! ๐ Seriously though, ‘opposite hand’ drawings are always fun and come out with exciting results, as here. Love it!
Yay for Flower Fridays! (I don’t care how camp that phrase makes me sound)

Thank you! You’re a LEFTY? So is my son and my husband! What does “camp” mean in that sentence??? ๐ Gosh, you’re SO British!

‘Camp’ describes the nature of a man who maybe is a little effeminate – enjoying flowers, or fashion, or something. Or mincing around and calling everyone ‘girlfriend’. That’d be camp behaviour.
I am so not camp, girlfriend.

Ha! I will have to remember that!! You and Sherri Poppins and I should skype sometime. I can’t do it at home, but I could in town on the laptop. I would so love to see you two and talk with you! ๐
Effeminate behavior in guys doesn’t bother me. I wouldn’t care if you were “camp” at all! ๐

That would be a hoot! I have tried to use Skype recently with others, but can’t seem to get it to work, sadly. Don’t know what’s up with the thing. I don’t have a webcam at the moment anyway.
Ha, well it doesn’t bother me in small doses. It can be a little overbearing when surrounded by it, believe me, girlfriend!

Yes, yes, on the camp thing! ๐ You crack me up, Steven. I have never tried Skype, but George has it on his laptop. I’ll have to try and arrange a time with you when he and I are in town together!

Definitely, if I can get it to work…!

Thanks so much, Mary. It was hurting a lot yesterday, but today seems to be okay. I just can’t do a whole lot or my neck muscles start tightening up.

Wow! If you can draw that well with your left hand, I think you should try your foot next time, Patsy! ๐

Jill, you crack me up! I have actually thought about trying to paint with my toes before! Now you have given me a challenge to think about…… ๐

When I draw with my hand, people think I’ve used my feet. You should give it a try, Patsy. I have a feeling it will be another work of art. ๐

That’s funny. So did you ever do anything with the book you bought? Am I getting that right? I thought you told me you bought an art instruction book?? Anyway, I did a silly abstract yesterday with my FOOT and TOES!! Just for you, Jill. It will be up on Wednesday. ๐ Have a great weekend.
