Thank you so much! I have started a sketch on a sketching pad that is 18×24. And I already have my watercolor paper that size stretched and ready to paint on. That probably doesn’t sound very huge to other artists who do really big stuff, but I’ve only done that size once years ago. So it is huge to me. I haven’t done anything larger than an 11×14 in a really long time. ๐

I love sea turtles, Patsy and I love this sketch! Great job! Rest that shoulder, the big painting can wait.

Thanks, Jill. I liked doing it. I was looking at an old photo in a library book, but it isn’t exactly the same. The turtle’s head was kind of in a lot of shadow in the picture. I appreciate your kindness. I didn’t draw anything yesterday, but it’s funny I feel bored and restless now when I can’t draw or paint every day. LOL! ๐

I think that’s a good feeling to have, Patsy, but you want your should to heal. Take care and enjoy your weekend!

Yes, it is already feeling better. When I have a little flare-up, I just ice it a bit and do some stretches and the old physical therapy exercises I had to do years ago when it was injured. You take care also! Have a great weekend.

Thank you, Michelle. I am planning on painting a hug sea turtle on 18×24 paper. I’ve only attempted a big painting like that once. It was a very long time ago. But I have yet to even finish just a pencil sketch of it to get it like I want it first!
Thank you for your kind words. ๐ And yes, I suppose we do all have surprises.
