Finished Cessna Airplane Watercolor

This has got to be one of the most challenging paintings I’ve ever attempted. I have to say I don’t think I’ll be doing any more airplanes or mountains with so many trees! But who knows? Maybe I will someday. Not any time soon, though.

I have put some brownish construction paper around it as a fake matting which is almost the color of the inside matting I will be using. The outer green piece of matting is the actual matting I’m going to use for the outer piece in the frame. His wife wants a dark wood, such as a walnut color.

All I can say is…I hope Pastor likes it. It took me a total of 13 hours, but we still have to mat it and buy the frame. So I think it may turn in to almost an 18 hour job by the time my husband does the final touches for me. I have to learn how to mat paintings 🙂

Have a great day everyone and give someone you love a big hug!

About whitefeatherfloating

When I began this blog I was simply going to share my writing. However, after being part of the blogging world for quite some time now, I decided to begin sharing my artwork. Patsy's Creative Corner will still have my artwork and some writing, but I created a new blog called My Crazy Life! in order to simply write my short autobiography and hopefully get some feedback on it as I go. However, it is a very slow project right now.

  1. I’m sure your pastor will love it Patsy!

  2. This is wonderful! I think you did a great job and I know your Pastor will feel the same. I apologize for not visiting. I don’t go into the WP Reader very often, most blogs I follow by email, but I couldn’t find that option on your blog. You’re very talented and your comment on my post was inspiring. 🙂

  3. Keep up the good work!

  4. I work with pen and ink with watercolor because I haven’t had much training in watercolor and it’s like doing book story illustrations. LOL

  5. Would you ever consider outlining the plane with a fine technical pen?
