Pizza and Preschoolers!!
I know I haven’t been writing much on here lately. I’ve been pretty busy creating art which I actually love much more than writing. Today we are having a young family over for the first time. I think their kids are about two and three maybe? They are new to our church. We are making our homemade pizza and salad. George makes the sauce and we make our own dough. Then I get to roll out the dough for the pizzas. It’s always good, and since we live 45 minutes from town anyway, it has been great since we learned how to do it. So much cheaper than buying it already made anywhere.
So this morning we cleaned the house (that’s one advantage of having people over; I get a clean house!) Not that we never clean, but it gets done a little more thoroughly. 🙂 We also had to put most of the guitars away; George left his out so we can sing Christmas carols. Needless to say we don’t have a child-proof home any more! Our kids are 14 and 16. But we do still have some little Bible story board books that my daughter, Grace, found in the cabinets above her bedroom closet awhile back. And the kids’ old wagon and small table and chairs are outside. So many memories wrapped up in all of those things. The few toys I’m keeping from their toddler years are packed away in the garage. It’s going to be interesting to have little ones here again! I’m sure it’s going to be quite a few years before we get grandchildren…
Make it a great day everyone, and give someone you love a big hug!
