California Sea Lion Painting

Here’s my new watercolor painting! The sea lion is from a photograph that I bought at an art show, but unfortunately, I cannot remember the name of the artist! She signed it, but I can’t read it. So that’s the best credit I can give for the photo. I did this yesterday in a few hours. A painting in one day! That’s a record for me!!

What do you think? The swelling waves were a real challenge!

  1. Thank you so much, Christine! I appreciate that! I have painted this sea lion before, but the water I did had not turned out to even look like water very much, but I liked the seal. So it is one I had been wanting to redo for years. This time I was pleased with how the water turned out. Thanks again!

This is lovely work Patsy. I love the colours you have used and the water is most convincing. Well done! 🙂
