My Hydrangeas painting is almost done!

DSCN3533[1]

Hopefully, I can finish this within the next couple of days. But the buds in the middle are going to be a challenge. Here’s the original photo of them.

DSCN2794

As you can see, this blue has been a very hard blue to capture the exact color and brightness of. This has been one of the most challenging paintings I have done to date!

About whitefeatherfloating

When I began my first blog, Patsy's Creative Corner, I was simply going to share my artwork. However, after being part of the blogging world for quite some time now, I came back into another hobby I have - writing. So Patsy's Creative Corner will still have my artwork and some writing, but I created a new blog called My Crazy Life! in order to simply write my short autobiography and hopefully get some feedback on it as I go. However, it is a very slow project right now.

  1. I enlarged the photo so I could see the detail and I think it’s gorgeous. I agree with the other visitor about keeping the middle buds simple. Can’t wait to see the finished piece. 🙂

    • Yes, I am trying to keep it simple, but I have a tendency to be a perfectionist about certain things! It can be a curse at times. But I just love detail, especially when it comes to painting flowers.
I worked on it yesterday for a few hours, but I’m still not done! 😉 Thank you for your encouragement.

This painting is coming on beautifully. I think the buds in the middle need to be done quite simply. It would be easy to get bogged down in detail with them. Thanks so much for posting. 🙂

    • I agree Christine. Before I saw your comment, I was thinking that very thing to myself! I am at the point where I just want to be done and move on to something new, you know?
I am glad you like it! 🙂

Did you see my sketches of people at the library? That is really challenging for me! Especially when they keep moving!
