Less TV, More Blogging!
I painted Pikachu for my daughter earlier this year. So it is obviously not an “original”…. I copied it from a Pokémon magazine my son has for fun.
If you had told me six months ago that I would be a blogger today, I would have said, “Yeah, right!” But I would have been wrong. My husband wanted to have a blog quite a while back and started one right around the same time that I had been thinking about creating one, too! At that point, however, I was only thinking of writing about other artists that I read books about, like Georgia O’Keeffe. Once I posted my writing about her, things took off! Thanks, Georgia. It was the start of something great. My husband still has his blog, but he’s so busy these days, all of his ideas are still on one of those back burners in his head. Besides, we would probably end up getting cross with one another over the use of the computer (yes, we only have one).
I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know my fellow bloggers who have taken time to check mine out and liked it. I appreciate your support and feedback more than you know. Some of you have been doing this for years which amazes me! I hope I will be able to do this for a long time to come as well.
It just dawned on me as I was sitting and looking at some blogs I hadn’t seen before that about two hours ago I turned on one of my new favorite shows, paused the TV to get some laundry to fold, and thought, “I’ll just check my blog real quick!” My kids laugh at me now when I say that, because they know how I have become! I got the laundry folded about ten minutes into the show, though. It still sits on the floor and the TV is paused. Oops!
I can’t believe how many wonderful and interesting things there are to see and read on people’s blogs. My hats are off to all of you whose blogs I am following, and I want to say a huge THANK YOU to all of you who have been following mine. I appreciate you so much!
Well, I’ve been on here long enough! I need to get back to the show and fold another load of laundry. Hey, at least I get my chores done.
(In case you haven’t noticed by now, I LOVE using the exclamation key on my keyboard!!!!)
